Your Rights Following a Bicycle Accident

When a passenger vehicle, truck, or bus collides with a bicyclist, the damages can be severe and, in the worst cases, fatal. Unfortunately, most of these collisions are completely avoidable and occur when a driver acts negligently, carelessly, or recklessly. Often, motorists who cause such accidents participate in drunk drivingdistracted driving, speeding, or merging without regard for pedestrians or cyclists. In such situations, the at-fault motorist can be held financially liable for the damages he or she has caused. In some cases, a driver may also be held criminally responsible for causing bodily injury or death.
